PE days
Every Friday. Then every other half term, starting with Autumn 2, Tuesdays and Fridays. (Tuesday with Mr Fox).
Homework
Weekly homework consists of phonics or early reading activities.
Reading books – sent out from just before October half term.
We use Little Wandle reading books which are matched to the child’s reading level. Children read their book with staff in school for 1 week then this goes home to read for 1 week.
Maths – Numbots
(username and password for both which we provide)
Access to this will be given out when we have covered the appropriate number facts in class first.
Phonics
For Phonics, we teach and use Little Wandle for phonics.
A list of ‘Tricky Words’ will be sent our at the end of each term, alongside a list of practical activities that can help your child to learn these.

- A Reading Meeting for parents/ carers to find out more about Phonics and reading in Reception to be held in Autumn term.
- Christmas Nativity performance in December.
- Visit to Fairfield Library in Spring term.
- School Trip to Hardwick Park in Summer term.
- Seesaw – we provide parent code to access the photos of their child’s learning.
