Year 5LM had a fantastic time investigating the effects of friction! 🔬 The children used Newton meters to measure the force needed to pull a shoe across a range of different surfaces. They compared their results, observed how the surfaces affected the amount of friction and discussed why some materials created more resistance than others. Year 5 have been developing their digital skills by using Padlet to reflect on their learning in science so far. The children worked collaboratively to research our current science topic, sharing their knowledge, revisiting key vocabulary and recalling important scientific concepts. They enjoyed contributing their ideas, building on one another’s understanding and celebrating how much they have learned.
