Year 5 made a positive start to their Properties of Shapes unit in maths. They began by investigating what a polygon is, developing their understanding that polygons are 2D shapes with straight sides. The class then explored the difference between regular and irregular shapes, identifying key features such as equal sides and angles in regular polygons.
