🎨 Manga Art in English 🎨
This week, Year 5 have been getting creative in English as they trialled manga-style art! Our new class book, ‘The Night Bus Hero’, features a main character who is a bit of a menace but is also a very talented artist
Taking inspiration from the character and the illustrations in the story, the children explored some of the key features of manga art, including expressive faces, bold lines and exaggerated emotions. They had lots of fun experimenting with the style and creating their own comic strip of revenge!

🏛️ Roman Numerals Fun in Year 5! 🏛️
Mrs Marshall's maths class have been practising their Roman numerals all the way up to 1,000 today! 🔢
To make our learning a little more fun, we used matchsticks to build the numerals. The children had to carefully think about the value of each symbol and how they could construct different numbers. 🧠
