Fairfield Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to join our team! 💙
📍 Location: Fairfield Primary School
💷 Salary: Grade C (SCP3) – £2,877 per annum
⏰ Hours: 5 hours per week, Monday–Friday (1 hour per day)
📅 Contract: Permanent
🚀 Start date: As soon as possible
🗓️ Closing date: 30th September 2026
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of working with children and be able to work positively as part of a team.
The role will include:
🍽️ Encouraging children to eat well and promoting good manners and healthy choices
👧👦 Supervising children during lunchtime, both indoors and outdoors
😊 Interacting positively with children
⚽ Supporting children during play
🧹 Helping to clear tables and maintain a clean lunch area
🔐 Please note: This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check, pre-employment checks and safer recruitment procedures. Childcare Disqualifications Regulations 2009 also apply.

A group of our pupils have been busy developing their leadership skills by taking part in an exciting leadership training course. The sessions gave them the opportunity to learn valuable skills such as communication, teamwork, responsibility, and how to be positive role models.
The pupils are now looking forward to putting their new skills into practice back in school. They will be helping to supervise play for our Key Stage 1 pupils, encouraging them to play fairly, safely and inclusively.
It will be fantastic to see our pupils taking on this responsibility in the coming weeks, and showing confidence, maturity and enthusiasm. We are sure they will be fantastic young leaders and a great support to our younger children during playtimes! ... See MoreSee Less
