All uniform items can be purchased from any supplier and no uniform needs to have our school logo on. Throughout the year, we will organise ‘swap shops’ for families to donate and pick up uniforms as their children grow out of items. In addition, we recycle unclaimed lost property and periodically offer it to families in school.
Although It is not compulsory to wear uniform in Nursery, the majority of our children do wear it as children can get messy after a day full of fun in school! Sweatshirts/ cardigans or jumpers are royal blue and are worn over white polo shirts with grey trousers, skirts or dresses. Blue and white checked dresses may also be worn.
Nursery to Year 5
Our schools uniform consists of Royal blue sweatshirts/cardigan or jumper with grey trousers or skirts worn over pale blue or white polo shirts, blue and white checked dresses.
Year 6
Year 6 pupils only are allowed the privilege of wearing black sweatshirts/cardigans or jumper and trousers or skirts.
Tops are available for you to order with our school logo on them from Motif8 and Tots to Teams. https://totstoteams.com/schools/fairfield-primary-school/

We ask that children wear plain, dark, flat-heeled sensible shoes, or plain black trainers, no brands. The Head Teacher has the right to prohibit the wearing of certain types of clothing or particular items, which are deemed, on safety or other grounds, to be unsuitable for wear in school.
School P.E. uniform
White plain polo or round neck t-shirt with plain blue or black shorts. Plimsolls or plain black trainers for outdoor PE. Black Joggers and hoodies can be worn in the colder weather. No brand names.
Year 6 children need to bring their PE kit with them on days they have PE and they will be given time to get changed. Reception to Year 5 can come to school wearing their kit. When children have an afterschool activity they must bring their sports kit in a bag to get changed after school.
Jewellery
No jewellery should be worn in school, this includes earrings. If children come to school wearing earrings, tape will be placed over them until home time for safety. Children may wear a simple watch, this does not include smart watches.
Hair / Makeup
We ask that children with long hair have it tied back at all times. This is for Health & Safety reasons to help prevent head lice and ensuring it doesn’t get caught on/in anything. For PE this is essential. Please no make-up, nail varnish or false nails.
