Wisdom of the Woods

Since September 2024, Fairfield Primary School has been working in partnership with Sylvan Lore, Wisdom of the Woods.  They offer outdoor learning lessons to support the primary curriculum.  Children across KS2 have experienced lessons with David and his experienced, specialised team and this is something that has continued into this academic year.

Outdoor learning in primary school offers a dynamic and engaging way to bring the curriculum to life, encouraging children to explore and learn through hands-on experiences. By integrating curriculum areas into outdoor learning, it promotes active, meaningful learning that connects knowledge to the real world while supporting physical well-being and social development.

Our children have experienced lessons linked to the Stone Age, Romans and Ancient Greek history units of learning.
